Photo Booth and Backdrop
Features:
Photo Booth
- Built for my wedding
- Small TV screen, camera, lighting and computer combined into single unit
- Everything mounted on single tripod for ease of transport and set up
- Photo booth program running on a Raspberry Pi 4

- Code modified slightly for my needs
- Raspberry Pi controls DSLR camera
- Takes 3 photos and formats them into a single photo with background template for occasion
- Live view from camera displayed on screen
- Photo can be printed from a small Canon photo printer
- All photos (individual and 3-picture formatted photos) are uploaded to a Google Drive folder
- Google Drive folder can be accessed for vieiwing/downloading photos via QR code affixed to unit
- Photo booth program is started by pressing a large illuminated red arcade button
Backdrop
- Made to look like a boxwood hedge
- Made with PVC skeleton for lighweight but sturdy construction
- Heavy base to mitigate risk of tipping
Shed
Features:
- 10ft x 12ft lean-to tyle shed
- Metal roof
- 60 inch double-door opening for storage of larger items
- Pressure-treated lumber for base and floor
Automatic Xmas Tree Waterer
Features:
- 3 Modes
- Normal Operation Mode
- Checks water level sensor every 12 hours to determine if water level is sufficient
- If water is not detected, turns on a relay for a pump that will pump water into the tree reservoir
- While pump is on, checks water level every 15 seconds to verify water is still low
- Beeps while checking water level for audio feedback
- When water level is sufficient, beeps with a different tone and turns off relay to pump
- Water level sensor set up
- Used for determining where to mount the water sensor
- To be used when the tree reservoir is already full
- Continuous beep while water is detected to tell you when the sensor is far enough down into the tree reservoir
- Test Mode
- Checks for water level every 1 minute
- Used for testing
- RGB LED changes color to show which mode you are in
- Runs on an Arduino UNO R3
- Plays Jingle Bells to signify when testing water level
